TREASON – AN OBITUARY FOR THE RULE-BASED WORLD ORDER
With today’s summit, the USA declares Russia as its friend and partner. This is Trump’s reward to Putin, after Russia has committed crimes against humanity.
The signal from the Trump administration, in practice, is that systematic rapes, torture, and killings of civilians—crimes the UN has documented in Ukraine—are not just ignored, but almost recognized as “acceptable actions.”
This is the greatest humiliation of the USA in modern times, and Trump stands out as a clear candidate for the title “the worst president in American history.”
The summit will not bring any real change to the war itself, but will reinforce existing geopolitical trends:
Russia continues to escalate the war—fully aware that there will be no consequences. Not only are they not met with resistance, but they are rewarded.
The USA gradually withdraws entirely. Law, justice, human rights, and freedom of expression—the value foundation of the free world—are no longer American core issues.
Europe increases its support for Ukraine, but it’s moving far too slowly. Now, it’s about willpower—will Europe fight for its freedom, or be slowly broken down?
Ukraine has no choice. The country is fighting for its existence and continues its defense struggle—no matter what other great powers do.
Today marks the end of the rule-based world order that the Allies, led by the USA, fought for during World War II. The old world is dead.
What awaits us now, I do not know.
But one thing is certain: The USA can never again be considered a credible partner. Ukraine will never give up, and I see no scenario where Russia manages to defeat freedom with its brutality.
And Europe? When will we start solving the problems ourselves? As Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk said:
“500 million Europeans are begging 300 million Americans for protection from 140 million Russians who have been unable to overcome 50 million Ukrainians for three years.”
